Next Week’s Assignments
- PRE-TRIP POST: In preparation for next week’s field trip, explore ProPublica’s Data Section and post 1-3 questions to ask during next week’s visit. Also, especially if you’re interested in ProPublica’s work, consider downloading a dataset from ProPublica’s Data Store to use as part of your Tutorial/Exercise post.
- TUTORIAL/EXERCISE POST: Based on class discussion, complete another tutorial or exercise for your toolkit. Post a link to your work (e.g. via CodePen, JSFiddle, or post a movie or screenshots). Keep notes on any particular issues encountered.
- LET ME KNOW BY MONDAY: If there are any particular data journalists at ProPublica you’d like to see, let me know by Monday so we can request their presence during our visit. Data journalist Al Shaw will be our guide.
